Winter is Coming!

I dress for the image. Not for myself, not for the public, not for fashion, not for men.
-Marlene Dietrich

Winter is finally here! Not so much for people in Mumbai but I pretty much feel the chills in Delhi. I am not too fond of winters because I feel like I will freeze to death and I just never want to come out of my blanket. But I do look forward to winter for dressing up. More than wearing those light floral clothes in summers, I enjoy dressing up in winters. Love the leather jackets, boots, pretty sweaters and what not. Since its not too cold yet, I picked up this really pretty quarter sleeves peach light sweater with white polka dots which mumma got from Singapore with white corduroy pants. The sweater is a size or two big for me but that's what I love about it. I can stuff in more clothes when it gets colder. I am wearing gold colored accessories from Promod and Forever 21 with nude ballerinas. I styled the outfit with a pretty little sling bag from Accessorize that I got last season.

I am also obsessed with the highlights in the hair. Though I don't want to color my hair or get streaks and keep them as natural as possible, I really wanted to break the monotonous shade of my hair. I got these clip on extensions from Pune that merge with your hair color and look real. I can clip them on anywhere according to my hair style weather its a pony tail, bun or loose hair.

Here are the pictures and a small preview! :)

What I Wore:
Polka Dots Sweater: Singapore
Corduroy Pants: Benetton
Ballerinas: Tory Burch
Accessories: Promod and Forever 21
Sling Bag: Accessorize
Hair Extensions: Pune

Midi Amore

“Why change? Everyone has his own style. When you have found it, you should stick to it.”
― Audrey Hepburn

Hey Girlies!

How ya'll doin? I have been busy shifting jobs and guess what? I have entered the fashion industry and working with a designer! Who? Surprise Surprise! Its amazing when you get to work for what you absolutely love. Anyway, moving ahead! Those retro Midi Skirts are back in fashion. Gone are the days when midi skirts were worn with scarfs around the necks and varsity jackets! That tooo was an amazing look of the time but in this season midi's are making its way back with a new look.

These voluminous midi skirts look stunning and can be styled with bold prints, crop tops, elegant Celine tops with statement necklace and what not. In the past, midi skirts were worn with heels but this season they are being worn with pointed flats and trainers transforming the whole look. If you are in for a party then wear the midi with a crop top or corset and a beautiful statement necklace styled with pumps. In case you want to wear it to office, you can wear a shirt under a light sweater.

I got my very first midi skirt from this online store called 'Being Flawless'. They have these amazing midi skirts in various colors and patterns. Check out their store for more (details at the bottom). So I styled my midi with a white corset, big polka dots retro bag and kitten heels.

Here are the pictures :)

What I Wore:
Midi Skirt: Being Flawless
Polka Dots Bag: Forever 21
Corset: Delhi Street Shopping
Kitten Heels: Charles $ Keith

La Chica Loca ft. All She Needs

Hey Pretty Girlies!

So this time I have something special in store for you. I mostly do all outfits and leave the rest to you. But this time I have a very special friend Debasree Banejee from ‘All She Needs’ blog to help you get the right hair and make up with the outfit I am featuring. Isn’t that awesome?! So my today’s look is all about being semi-formal. Ever had those days when you have to go to office and still wan to dress up and look gorgeous in those boring formals? Well I have a perfect solution for that. I have picked a simple b/w striped maxi from Billa Bong and wore it with a black Zara blazer. To make it look a little funky, I added some silver accessories, contrasting Zara heels and carried a barrel bag by DKNY.

Here are the pictures!

What I Wore:
Blazer: Zara
Rings and Bracelet: Forever 21
Necklace: Zara
Watch: Michael Kors
Heels: Zara
Maxi Dress: Billa Bong
I am absolutely in love with wearing monochrome these days with a pop of bright colour on my lips, so when I saw her outfit, I knew we had to do a bright lip. I kept the eyes fairly simple by drawing a quick winged liner using the Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner in Ultimate black to line my upper lashes with a golden base ( you can use any golden eyeshadow you like and pat it over your entire eyelids) Draw a line as close to your lash line and then draw a flick starting from your lower lashes and moving towards the end of your eyebrows. Draw an isosceles triangle pulling the line inwards and you've got yourself a perfect winged liner. Curl your lashes and add tons of mascara, here I used the Maybelline The Falsies mascara. To highlight the eyes add a little bit of a shimmery white shadow on the inner corner of your eyes and on the brow bone. For the bright pop of colour I chose a beautiful bright fuchsia pink from the Rimmel Apocalips range in the shade Apocalyptic. I love how long lasting and easy to wear this one is.

Inspired by her beautiful Zara heels, I decided to do another makeup look using an eye pencil in the same shade. I used the Maybelline Colour Crayon in Ocean Blue to line my lashes, I used the same technique as the winged liner but with out any eyeshadow under. I used the same mascara, and finished the look with the new Revlon Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights

For a casual look you can leave your hair down, but if you'd like a more formal look you can throw your hair in a messy bun. I will be posting a full tutorial on this hairstyle so make sure you subscribe to my Youtube Channel here.

Simple Elegance

Fashion is about dressing according to what's fashionable. Style is more about being yourself.
  -Oscar de la Renta

Hola People!
So I had to go for a very dear friend's marriage reception and wanted to wear something elegant, simple and pretty. While looking for outfits, I came across this new kid on the block in the eCommerce rat race that really caught my attention. They are known as The Dangerous Clothing Cartel and focus majorly on making women regain and flaunt their style. If you go through their stuff, you would know why they tell you to #bedangerous. I love their collection as they provide styles that are global and not just limited to Indian trends. Their designs are casual and very chic. Their collection mostly ranges between Rs 650-2500 and I think its pretty reasonable considering the quality they provide. I got this amazing halter gown from them that I have styled with Swarovski accessories.

Here are the pictures and a short preview video :)

Style that Skater!

'Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.'
- Coco Chanel

Hey Girls!
With all the fashion for crop tops going on, I have fallen in love with Skater Skirts! These skirts are so comfy to carry and can be style in different ways. They can be worn with absolutely anything and can make a boring simple top also look fabulous! Skater skirts look good with sleeveless crop tops, striped full sleeves crop top, shirts, ganjis and so many more things. These are those rare skirts that look good on all body types and even if you are a lil healthy, these high waists skirts hide those tummy fats and let you wear crop tops without worrying about anything! Yay!

I styled my amazing new skater skirt from Classic Couture with a plain white spaghetti top, a pretty necklace, a neon tinted clutch and block tie-up heels. Have a look at the pictures :)
